Jarrett Skorup is the senior director of marketing and communications. In this role, he is in charge of marketing efforts, media strategy, and overseeing policy campaigns and objectives.

Michael Van Beek is director of research. He has authored several studies for the Center as well as analysis and commentaries that have been published in The Wall Street Journal, The Detroit News, the Detroit Free Press, The Grand Rapids Press, The Oakland Press and elsewhere.

He is an experienced reporter, editor, teacher, salesman, public relations professional, motion-picture screenwriter, and media personality.

Assistant Managing Editor of Michigan Capitol Confidential

Jamie A. Hope serves as the assistant managing editor of Michigan Capitol Confidential. She owns a consulting business, and previously worked at the Michigan Legislature as a legislative aide, as well as for the House Republican Policy Office. She is an author and has written for American Thinker and Human Events. Jamie has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Michigan State University.
